Dec 16 2007
starting Dec 28 we will be giving to date fishing reports hopefully when I'm up there full time.
this is Jerry's fishing report out of Rogers camp ground
Friday, December 14, 2007 I just came in off the lake and it was just as I thought, the wind yesterday blew just about all of the fluffy snow that was keeping us from making any new ice off of the lake. What is left is hard enough to drive over with my Suzuki with out sinking in, now we can start making some serious ice. The few places that I did check where still 10 to 12 inches thick but under some of the deeper drifts I found only 8 or 9 inches of ice. I may try plowing some today or tomorrow, depends on how lucky I feel. We will allow smaller trucks to use our access, wheel houses and skid houses are OK, all I ask is if you are not going to use your house for the next day or two to pull it off the lake and put it in the lot, any houses left on the lake at this time will sink like a submarine when the snow drifts pile up around them. (No charge for parking in the lot at this time) I am not going to pull out any private houses until we get a few more inches of ice.
